CHARGED DSP RELEASED AFTER SETTLING BAIL

Kathmandu, 12 July: Former DSP Dinesh KC, one 34 Nepal Police officers, including three IGPs, accused in a multi-million the purchase of personnel carriers for peacekeepers with the UN in Darfur, Sudan, was released on bail Tuesday.

KC was sent to jail Sunday, after he failed to pay Rs,3,5 million deposit the bail set by a special court..

KC was charged by CIAA.

The police officer was freed after settling the bail.

The market gained 6.18 points after crossing the 350 point level.

NINE CIVIL SERVANTS WHO SCALED EVEREST RECEIVE Rs, 200,000 CASH AWARD FROM GOVT.

Kathmandu, 12 July: A group of nine civil servants received a cash rerward of Rs.200,000 each from Prime Minister Jhanlanath Khanal Tuesday for climbing the 8848 meters high world’s tallest peak Mount Everest, in May.
They also received certificates.
Former Foreign Minister Shailedra Kumar Upadhaya, 82, attempting to become the oldest person to climb Everest died in the attempt.

INTERNAL FLIGHTS DISRUPTED
Kathmandu, 12 July: Internal flights landing and taking off from Tribhuvan International Airport were disrupted for more than 30 minutes
