MAOISTS.,NC SEEK EACH OTHER'S SUPPORT

`NC, MAIOSTS SEEK EACH OTHER’S SUPPORT FOR CONSENSUS GOVT. UPDATE

Kathmandu, 18 Aug.: Maoists and NC Thursday sought each other’s support to lead a consensus government at a bilateral party meeting.
They discussed a rotational government to be first by their parties.
The two parties agreed in principle on a national government.

PROHIBITED AREAS DECLARED IN SOME PARTS OF THE CAPITAL

Kathmandu, 18 Aug.: Kathmandu district administration Thursday declared some areas prohibited in the capital.
Areas around Singha Durbar, parliament, residences and office of the prime minister, president and vice-president were declared prohibited.
Demonstrations, public meetings and organized political areas are forbidden in such areas
Prime Minister Jhalanath Khanal put all security agencies, ,including Nepal Army, on high alert after when he resigned earlier this week.
