TOP CHINESE LEADER ARRIVES TUESDAY
Kathmandu,15 Aug.: Fourth ranking leader of the Chinese leadership Zhou Yongkang begins his Nepal visit Tuesday by holding talks with Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Upendra Yadav, foreign ministry said.
Zhou is coming as special envoy of President Hu Zintao.
Zhou heads a l60-member Chinese team and arrives two days after Prime Minister Jhalanath Khanal resigned.
But Khanal’s government with Maoists continues as a caretaker and can take government decisions.
China has lately been concerned with what has been anti-Chinese activities and seeks to secure its border with Ibet and Nepal as a strategic alliance has been developed between India and USA.
Beijing seeks to reduce Indian influence in Nepal and strengthen capacity Nepal’s security forces with deployment along the Nepal-Tibet.border.
At the invitation of the Government of Nepal, Member of the Standing Committee of the Political Bureau of the Communist Party of China (CPC) Central Committee and Secretary of the Political and Legislative Affairs Committee of the CPC, Zhou Yongkang is arriving here on Tuesday on a three-day official visit to Nepal, RSS reports

During his visit, Mr. Zhou is scheduled to hold official talks with the Deputy Prime Minister and Minister for Foreign Affairs of Nepal. He will also pay courtesy calls on the President and the Prime Minister, according to the Ministry of Foreign Affairs.

Likewise, the Chinese delegation led by Mr. Zhou is scheduled to meet with senior leaders of major political parties.

During the visit, an Agreement on Economic and Technical Cooperation will be signed between the Government of Nepal and the Government of People´s Republic of China amid a ceremony to be organized at the Office of the Prime Minister and Council of Ministers, adds the Ministry.

Mr. Zhou is leading a delegation comprising senior Leaders, Ministers and high ranking officials of the People´s Republic of China.

REPLACEMENT OF TWO SUSPENDED CA MEMBERS PUT ON HOLD BY SUPREME COURT
Kathmandu, 15 Aug The supreme court single bench Monday asked the constituent assembly not appoint new members to replace Keshab Mainali and Raj Kumar Nalvo Limbu pending a final decision of the apex court.
The court responded to a writ filed by the suspended CA members
The assembly cancelled their membership at request of parties following their defection.
