AGREEMENT BETWEEN MAOISTS, MADESHBADI FONT TO EXPAND CABINET SUNDAY

Kathmandu, 2 Sept.: Maoists and five constituents of five Madeshbadi parties agreed Friday at a meeting in Singha Durbar to expand delayed cabinet by first hour Sunday, Chairman of MJFN (Republican) Jayapakash Gupta said after a conclusive meet
All five chairmen of five terai parties attended/
‘There was agreement to keep ministries already agreed upon but with possible changes,’ Gupta told reporters.
Expansion of the two-member government
Installed last Sunday has been delayed with differences between UCPN (Maoists) and the Madeshbadi front.
The government will now be expanded after eight with Friday’s agreement.

CLASHES BREAK OUT IN BAIDYA FACTION MAOIST ,POLICE SKIRMISHES UPDATE

Kathmandu, 2 Sept,: Police Friday evening baton charged Maoist rebels loyal to First Vice-chairman Mohan Baidya protesting UCPN (Maoist) decision to handover control of their weapons to a government headed by a prime minister.
Supporters of the rebel faction were arrested and injured in clashes with police in Nuwakot, Biratnagar andother places.
Torchlight protest demonstrations were held in Friday’s continuing anti-party establishment and government demonstrations.
In Rolpa Friday, the delayed handover of keys to containers were handed over to a special committee.

REMAINING RAILINGS ALONG NEW ROAD SUDDENLY PULLED DOWN

Kathmandu, 2 Sept.: In a sudden operation that started at two in the afternoon Friday and continued late evening, iron railings along New Road footpath were suddenly pulled down.
Traders along the street and workers said municipal decided to replace the railings damaged during violent protests by all parties and groups.
The action of municipal authorities without notification surprised people.
