CONSTITUTIONAL COUNCIL MEETS FOR FIRST TIME UNDER PM BHATTARAI
Kathmandu, 16 Sept.: Constitutional council meets for the first time under chairmanship of new Prime Minister Dr. Baburam Bhattarai Friday.
The body with representation of the main opposition appoints chiefs and his colleagues in constitutional bodies.
Positions have been vacant in Election Commission, CIAA, Public Service Commission and other bodies for months as major parties push their candidates.
Without leaders, the work of the institutions have suffered.
