According to a report, the chairperson of the Guthi observing Indrajatra, has invited the former King to receive prashad, but a huge number of security personnel were deployed at the gate of Nirmal Niwas for not allowing the former King to come out from his private residence to visit Basantapur Square.

NO JAIL SENTENCES AGAINST 11 MAOISTS IN BIHAR
Kathmandu, 15 Sept.: Sources at the Bihar government today [Wednesday] refuted the news of an Indian court slapping jail terms and fines on 11 Nepali Maoist leaders in absentia, saying the report was not true, The Himalayan Times reports.
They said no court in India has made a judgment slapping jail terms on the Maoist leaders and the Patna court case was in hearing stage.
After Prime Minister Baburam Bhattarai raised the issue with the Indian Ambassador to Nepal, Jayanta Prasad, yesterday, the Indian Embassy in Kathmandu has been talking to government and court officials in Patna, according to embassy officials. According to Maoist leaders, the information about the jail term came to light after those who stood as personal guarantee for the Maoist leaders following their bail informed Nepali leaders about the verdict.
They continued to insist that the verdict came from a session court (district level court) in Patna and not the high court. The Indian police had apprehended the Nepali Maoist leaders in May 2004 following an FIR. They were granted bail in 2006 after serving more than two years in Beur and Boxer prisons in Patna, with those holding Indian citizenship remaining as guarantors, Maoist central committee member Anil Sharma said.
Those involved in the case include politburo members Lokendra Bista Magar and Kul Prasad KC, CC members Hit Bahadur Tamang, Kumar Dahal, Anil Sharma and CA members Tara Gharti, Chitra Bahadur Shrestha, Dilip Maharjan and Min Prasad Aapagain, along with Suman Tamang and Shyam Kishor Yadav.

NEPALI YOUTH OUTSELLS ONeBay TO BECOME UK's No 1 VENDOR
Kathmandu, 15 Sept.: A Nepali teenager has outsold his competitors to become Britain’s biggest seller on the online auction website eBay, Rajan Pokhrel writes in The Himalayan Times.
Sudip Gautam, now known as Dario Lopez, according to eBay, turned over a staggering £3 million a year and became the site’s biggest individual seller with more than 600,000 sales in under five years.
Originally from Kaligaundi tole of Amarpur VDC, Gulmi, Gautam (21) started his venture at the age of 12.
In an email interview with THT, Gautam, who prefers to go by his new name Dario Lopez for his personal reasons, said he moved to the UK with his mother Sushila to meet his father Dinesh in November 2002. He currently lives in Greenwich. “Due to senseless feud over caste in my father’s family, I didn’t want to be a Brahmin or Chhetri. I wanted my own identity, and I changed my name to Dario Lopez in 2007,” he said refusing to go into the details of the family feud.
Two years later in the UK, he made his first sale on eBay and has since gone on to employ 13 staffers in his shop called London Magic Store at a Woolwich sorting depot. His shop specialises in the latest accessories of latest mobile phones, and he estimates the value of his business to be more than £1 million.
According to him, he completed his schooling from Green Lawns Academy, Balkhu and Holy Land International School, Baneshwor in Kathmandu and Crown Woods School (2002-2006), Eltham, London.
In December 2003, he sold sim cards from his bedroom on eBay and his personal website, to register which, he said, he paid £10 from her mother’s credit card.
“I started selling sim cards, computer accessories at Greenwich Market and later I started selling MP3 players on eBay and opened first internet cafe at Aldershot in 2004 to sell MP3 products.”
“After travelling across London to sell sim cards in wholesale stores to retail shops from 2005 to 2007, I set up my own store in November 2007,” he added. His mantra of success: Set unachievable targets and dedicate yourself to turn them into achievables.
The young entrepreneur said it’s not possible to launch such a venture in Nepal as the postal system is not reliable and not many Nepalis use computers.
He wants to see his London Magic Store grow as a global brand with a chain of stores across the world.
And with success, he has learned responsibility as well. “I have decided to donate £5,000 to Japan tsunami victims. I give loans through micro loan website http://www.kiva.org/lender/dariolopez. I have plans for next year to support Nepal as well as my birthplace Amarpur.”
