Kathmandu, 3 Sept. NC central committee Saturday reviewed the defeat of two of its candidates in just concluded parliamentary elections for prime minister.
Maoist First Vice-chairman Dr. Baburam Bhattarai first defeated Sher Bahadur Deuba and then Ram Chandra Paudel in the second round vote.
Party General Secretary Prakashman Singh said the party stand to collect support during the vote was correct.
The committee meet resumes Sunday.
Most speakers Saturday demanded disbandment of YCL and return of seized assets during the 10-year insurgency, Singh said.
Party speakers took a tough stand on integration of Maoist fighters in state security agencies, including Nepal Army.
Central committee members demanded previous pre-conditions should be met for integration.
Most speakers Saturday doubted the peace process will be concluded with the fresh controversy in Maoists.
Ten speakers expressed views Saturday.

IAN MARTIN IN LIBYA AFTER CONTORVERSIAL ROLE AND TENURE IN NEPAL

Kathmandu, 3 Sept.: Controversial British human rights activist Ian Martin has reached Libya as Special Representative of UN Secretary General Ban Ki-moon, radio reports said Saturday.
Martin was charged for pro-Maoist role in Nepal when he was in Nepal as special representative of Kofi Annan to oversee the peace process four years ago,
UN sent Martin to Nepal from troubled East Timor.
Israel rejected a UN role for Martin immediately after his controversial tenure in Nepal.
UN withdrew from Nepal 15 January after a failed mission.
