Kathmandu, 19 Sept.: Bharatiya Janata Party leader Bijaya Joli arrived Sunday for a two-day visit.
He held discussions with Prime Minister Baburam Bhattarai who later flew for USA.
He’ll hold discussions with other parties before returning home.

BHAKTAPUR TEENAGER KILLED FOR RS 11‚000
Kathmandu, 19 Sept.: Two men who were arrested on the charge of murdering a teenager today confessed to have killed the Chhaling-1, Bhaktapur, resident for Rs 11,000 that was in his possession, The Himalayan Times reports.

The crime came to light after Bishwo Ram Thapa (18), an eighth grader at Byasi-based Prabhat Secondary School, was found dead near his house and police arrested those involved in the crime.

The arrestees, Gokarna Thapa (23) and Deepak Thapa (22), and Kimar Pahari alias Lure (35), who has fled to Malaysia, had strangulated Bishwo on September 9 at around 7 pm while playing cards at a local eatery. “Gokarna, Deepak and Kumar laid claim to the Rs 11,000 and shared it among themselves,” according to police.

The youngster’s body was recovered on Wednesday.

“A dog took out a hand from the 1.5 feet deep pit where the body was buried and local residents informed us,” according to Inspector Ganesh Chand at Metropolitan Police Crime Division.

Meanwhile, police have arrested Laxmi Magar (28) and Prabin Katri (30) of Kathmandu for hacking Som Bahadur Tamang (30) to death and dumping his body in Gokarna forest.

Som, a native of Danchhi-7 on the outskirs of the Capital, was found dead this morning. According to DSP Shyam Gyawali, Laxmi and Prabin had attacked Som with a khukuri and iron rod in course of a dispute yesterday.

Police have recovered the khukuri and the rod used in the incident.

The victim used to work as a labourer at a dying factory in Danchhi.
