MORE DETAILS ON NC CENTRAL COMMITTEE MEET DECISION

Kathmandu, 7 Sept.: NC has decided government shouldn’t finance former Maoist combatants in 28 cantonments and satellite camps is another fixed deadline for their integration isn’t met.
Government ad manly five European states are funding the upkeep of the 19,000 former combatants.
The committee approved a Sher Bahadur Deuba panel report for a package resolution for integration and resettlement.
Deuba panel suggested only 4,000 of 19,000 plus former PLA fighters be integrated individually.
The Deuba plan with approved with slight modifications.
The committee didn’t finalize a panel report on Vice-president Ram Chandra Paudel’s suggestions for state restructuring and other constitutional issues.
The report will be discussed with UML and other parties before adoption.
