DISASTERS CLAIM 303 LIVES;FIGURE DOUBLES COMPARED TO PREVIOUS YEAR
Kathmandu, 16 Sept.: Natural disasters—floods, landslides and lighting—have killed 303 persons nation-wide in the last five months from 1 Baishak to Bhadra 28, Gorkhapatra reports quoting home ministry’s national emergency relief programme center

Casualties has doubled compared to the same period the previous year.
Another 341 persons were injured and 97are missing.
Another 615 families have been affected and 600 houses have been completely destroyed.
Yet 132 dwellings were partially damaged with damage estimated at Rs. 290 million.
CDOs and LDOs have been asked not to leave districts during monsoon.
