NEPAL, INDIAL SECURITY TALKS CONTINUES FOR SECOND DAY

Kathmandu, 23 Sept. Joint secretary level Indo-Nepal security talks will continue for the second day Friday to prepare for talks between home secretaries of the two countries and ahead of Prime Minister Baburam Bhattarai’s official India visit after Dasain.
Bhattarai is currently in New York attending the annual UN general assembly session and returns home Monday after concluding his maiden foreign tour.
The joint secretary level talks Thursday discussed cross-border crime, widespread circulation of fake Indian currency notes, border pillars along the open 17,000km border and other issues.

NIBL TO INCREASE ITS CAPITAL BASE TO RS 3 BILLION

Kathmandu, 23 Sept.: Nepal Investment Bank Ltd (NIBL) announced 25 percent bonus shares for its shareholders from its Rs.1.17 billion profit in fiscal year 2010/11 profit to increase its capital base to Rs 3 billion.
The bank board also announced a 25 percent bonus for its earnings.
