NSU ACTIVISTS DEATH FASTS MONDAY

NSU TO JOIN FAST MONDAY

Kathmandu, 26 Sept.: Activists supporters of senior leader Sher Bahadur Deuba in Nepal Students’ Union (NSU), a student wing of main opposition NC, will join death fasts at party headquarters in the capital Monday.
Deuba is exerting pressure of the party establishment to rescind a central committee decision to dissolve incumbent executive committees of four fraternal organizations to conduct elections of executives.
Deuba has also convened a meeting of district presidents to put pressure to overturn what has been called undemocratic actions to impose dictatorship of President Sushil Koirala and his associates in the second largest party.
Activists of other wings of the party are already on a death fasts at party headquarters.
More that a dozed have been hospitalized after falling sick.
