PARLIAMENTARY COMMITTEE ORDERS PROBE INTO FINANCIAL INSTITUTIONS

PROBE ORDERED TO STUDY IREGULARITIES IN FINANCIAL INSTITUTIONS

Kathmandu, 13 Sept.: A three-member sub-committee headed by Keshav Nepal was formed Tuesday by parliament’s public accounts committee to study operations of banks and financial institutions.
Industrialist and banker Rajendra Khetan and Kamala Pant are members.
ANepal said the objective of the sub-committee was to identify problems facing the BFIs and come up with suggestive measures.
The study was ordered following irregularities in financial institutions.
