PRACHANDA SURFACES FOR FIRST TIME IN TWO DAYS UPDATE

Kathmandu, 11 Sept.: UCPN (Maoist) Maoist Chairman Prachanda said the peace process will be concluded in one month and asked NC and UML to lend helping hands.
The Maoist said peace process and constitution will be concluded on schedule with close cooperation of parties,
He revealed his party will take another serious decision soon without giving details.
The chairman surfaced publicly at Biratnagar airport for the first time after two days Sunday after leaving for an undisclosed location in east Nepal via Biratnagar and Itahari.
He flew for east Nepal Friday and not Thursday as earlier reported.
Prachanda said he visited the eastern region for personal and family maters without divulging details.
He denied reports his visit was secret and told reporters the prime minister, security and NC Jhapa leader Krishna Prasad Shitaula knew of his visit.
The Maoist chief he was in Nepal for the last 48 hours and said his mission was successful.
Prachanda said he didn’t hold political meetings.

POKHARA AIRPORT REOPENED UPDATE

Kathmandu, 11 Sept.: Pokhara airport was reopened after a four-hour closure Sunday .
Flights resumed at one in the afternoon.
The nose wheel of an aircraft of Yeti Airlines got stuck on the runway when a flight with passengers from Kathmandu landed in the morning.
