PROTESTS AGAINST DEFENCE MINISTER MONTS

Kathmandu, 28 Sept. A faction of UCPN (Maoist) Mohan Baidya has come out on the streets demanding the immediate dismissal of Defence Minister Shrarat Singh Bhandari who threatened cessation of 22 terai districts calling the public call the anti-national.
Faction leader Deb Gurung said nation-wide protests will
continue until dismissal of Bhandari.
The faction is holding torchlight processions against the minister in the capital and elsewhere.
The group is boycotting Tuesday’s meeting of office bearers and has decided to seek an explanation on the four-point deal with Madeshbadi
parties to form a Maoist- Madhbadi coalition in government.
Bhattarai supported the deal after returning from New York this
Week.
Bhandary is a pahadi with Mohottari as his base.
His appointment was delayed after Madeshis in the party objected tohis appointment,
Meanwhile, RPP-Nepal has also demanded Bhandari’s
immediate dismissal; the party has also demanded dismissal of Maoist Law Minister Prabhu Sah for a murder charge in Birgunj.
Bhandari threatened any opposition to the four-point will lead to cessation.
Besides the Maoist faction, the agreement has been
opposed by NC and UML—two largest opposition parties.

GOVT. ORDERS JUDICIAL PROBE INTO MURDER OF MUSLIM YOUTH LEADER

Kathmandu, 28 Sept.: Government Tuesday ordered a judicial probe into the murder into murder of a Muslim youth leader in the capital this week.
Two still unidentified gunmen shot and killed Faizan Ahmed in front of a musjid next to historic Ghantaghar and in front of a police office as he was coming out after prayers.
The fresh Kathmandu murder will be probed by a three-member body.
Only Muslims have been shot dead in the capital.
Mirza Ali Beg, a lawmaker and media tycoon Jamin Shah were shot dead by hired Indian killers.
Another Muslim media tycoon was shot dead at Kathmandu’s central jail this year;hired Indian killers were blamed.
A Pakistani embassy official survived an assassination attempt this year in another shooting incident.
Police ChieF of Ranpokhari Kuber Singh Rana said international criminal gangs through ‘contract hired killers’ shot dead Ahmed, according to Annapurna Post.
