TENURES OF THREE BRIGADIERS EXTENDED

Kathmandu, 15 Sept.: Tenures of brigadier generals Dhaniraj Karki, Hem Khatri and Ajit Singh Thakuri were extended by cabinet for two more years Thursday.
This is the first major decision in army without the defence minister.

CHAIRMAN, MEMBERS OF ELECTRICITY TARIFF COMMISSION APPOINTED

Kathmandu, 15 Sept.: Ganesh Subba was appointed chairman of electricity tariff commission Thursday by the cabinet.
Uttar Kumar Shrestha and Shrikrishna Acharya have been appointed commission members amid speculation electricity tariff may be raised.
