TOURISTS ASKED NOT TO VISI KANCHENJUNGA AREA

Kathmandu, 20 Sept.: Tourists have been asked not to visit Kangchenjnga conservation area on the Nepal, Sikkim border along India north east of Kathmandu.
Authorities said approach roads and trekking routes have been destroyed in Sunday’s 6.8 Richter scale quake.
Locals are evacuating Gunsha in the area as mountains are cracking after the jolt Sunday.
The 8596 meters high Kangchenjunga is the world’s third tallest peak in the region.
Acting Prime Minister Bijaya Kumar Gachedhar deposed before parliament’s state affairs committee Tuesday providing details of Sunday’s devastating quake—the biggest in Nepal is 78 years.
