UML COMMITTEE TO PROBE JOURNALIST ATTACK

Kathmandu.16 Sept. A UML central committee formed a commission Friday headed by Vice-chairman Ashok Rai to investigate a murderous attack on a Biratnagar journalists by activists of the youth wing.

Other members are Vice-chairperson Bidya Devi Bhandari and central committee ,embers Rajendra Gautam and Yogesh Bhattarai.

Youth leader Parshuram Basnet, who allegedly masterminded the attack nearly two months ago,is missing.


UML central committee decided to integrate 5,000 Maoist fighters, subject to negotiations; NC has proposed and 4,000 and Maoists are demanding integration of 7,000 former combatants in state security agencies.
The four-day meet of the committee concluded Friday.
