BHIM RAWAL NOMINATED TO SPECIAL COMMITTEE
Kathmandu, 9 Oct.: Bhim Rawal was nominated Saturday by UML standing committee to a special committee headed ex-officio by the prime minister.
Rawal is a former home minister.
General Secretary Ishwor Pokhrel is also member of the committee on integration, resettlement and supervision of 19,000 plus Maoist combatants.

MORE DETAILS ON DEATH OF PRACHANDA’S FATHER.

Kathmandu, 9 Oct. Chairman Prachanda’s father died overnight at 10.30 at his home in Chitwan,
He was 85.
He returned home after being treated for two months at hospitals in the capital.
Cremation is scheduled at 8.30 in the morning Sunday.

NEPAL PULLS OUT OF AFC U-19 QUALIFIERS
Kathmandu, 9 Oct.: Nepal has pulled out of the AFC U-19 Qualifiers being hosted by Dhaka, Bangladesh, from 25 October 25 to 4 November , All Nepal Football Association (ANFA) said.
Nepal, Saudi Arabia, Iraq Oman Bangladesh and Maldives were in Group A.
‘Our greater priority is the youth team. We couldn’t participate because of internal problems.” .ANFA President Ganesh Thapa said adding the decision was.taken after consultations team coach Kishore KC.
A decision was taken as preparations were ongoing to participate in the competition with 210 players at a camp.
Nepal had been participating in the U-19 qualifiers since 1987.
