MUSLIMS URGE SUSHIL KOIRALA TO PRESS GOVT TO ARREST SUSPECTED KILLERS OF THEIR YOUTH LEADER IN CAPITAL
Kathmandu, 11 Oct. Leaders of Muslim Association Tuesday demanded action against persons involved in a murder of a Muslim youth leader in he capital at a meeting with NC President Sushil Koirala
They complained there was no breakthrough even weeks after the
murder in a shooting incident in front of a Musjid in at Ghantaghar and a Rani Pokhari police office.
The team urged Koirala to press government to trace the two suspected killers and take other follow-up measures.
Nepali Muslims and a Pakistani diplomat have been targeted in such shooting incidents in the capital.
One shooting incident was carried even inside the high security
Central Jail.
The team met UML Chairman Jhalanath Khanal Tuesday with similar demands.

GOVT.PREPARING A NATIONAL BUILDING CODE
Kathmandu, 11 Oct.: The government plans to bring National Building Code for building construction with the purpose of systemizing urbanization, RSS reports.
The Department of Town Development and Building Construction is going to work out a comprehensive code for building construction, RSS reports.
There is a lack of a comprehensive law though something has been mentioned regarding this in the construction act and regulations, and apartment act and regulations.
The Department with the collaboration of local bodies will regularize constructed and under-construction buildings in urban areas.
Deputy Director General of the Department Sunil Kumar Karn said development works have been in limbo as land was not utilised properly resulting in bad shape of the city and problems created in infrastructure development.
He also informed that complaints were heard that more than 90 percent of structures were built in violation of the set standards.

DEAD BODY OF BOY RECOVERED AFTER POSSIBLE ABDUCTION IN SARLAHI
Kathmandu, 11 Oct.: The body of Pawan Mandal, 10, was recovered Tuesday along a riverbank in Saptari Tuesday.
The boy went missing last week.
The family said it received a ransom demand of Rs.500,000 following
the possible abduction
Several arrested have been made.
The boy hailed from Jamuni Madhepura VDC-5,

NEPAL SOCCER TEAM LOSES 4-0 TO PHILIPPINES IN MANILA UPDATE
Kathmandu, 11 Oct : Nepal national soccer team lost 4-0 to
a Philippines team in Manila Tuesday, reports from the capital of
Philippines said.
Nepal was playing its first practice match with teams of four ASEAN countries while preparing the South Asian regional games in New Delhi later in 2011.
