TOURIST ARRIVALS JUMP 11 PERCENT IN FIRST NINE MONTHS OF 2011

Kathmandu, 2 Oct.: Tourist arrivals continue to increase in 2011 as 45,782 tourists visited Nepal by air September, Immigration Office at Tribhuvan International Airport (TIA) said Sunday.
Tourist arrivals increased 11 percent in nine months of 2011 compared to the previous year.
Sri Lanka arrivals jumped 75.4 percent while Chnese larivals increased 66.6 percent.
Nepal attracts Indians the most.
Indian arrivals also increased 24.5 percent.
Altogether369,844 tourists visited Nepal in the first nine months of 2011.
