SPECIAL COMMITTEE ENDORSES CALENDAR FOR CATEGORIZATION, REINTEGRATION OF MAOIST COMBATANTS
Kathmandu, 14 Nov. A special committee for integration, resettlement and supervision of 19,000 plus former Maoist combatants chaired by Prime Minister Baburam Bhattarai Monday approved the
committee’s secretariat proposal for the tasks of the committee with amendment, members of parties said.
The meeting of the special committee Monday also endorsed the calendar
for the categorization and reintegration of the Maoist combatants.
The categorization of former Maoist combatants integration, resettlement and voluntary categorization will be completed by 23 November before the 30 November deadline to complete the peace process ad constitution drafting.

Maoist member Barsha Man Pun said 50 percent relief for disabled in 28 cantonments and satellite camps.
A separate package for injuerd will be prepared as well.
NC member of the special committee Dr. Ram Sharan Mahat said UNMN verification and a 7-point agreement are basis for Monday’s agreement.
