Kathmandu, 4 Nov.: Following continuous bad weather and bitter cold, more than 1,500 tourists have been stranded at Lukla airport, servicing the Mount Everest region –a major attraction for adventure tourists.
Tourists and their Nepali guides, numbering about 500, have been stranded at the airport for four days.
Airlines haven’t been able to operate flights in and out of the airport.
Nearly 60 daily flights operate between the capital and Lukla
airport.
