IRRIGATION MINISTER YADAV RULES OUT NATIONAL GOVT.UNDER OPPOSITION LEADERSHIP
Kathmandu, 27 Nov.: Minister for Irrigation and Chairman of the Tarai Madhes Democratic Party (TMDP)-Nepal Mahendra Yadav has said that there is a possibility of a national consensus government including Nepali Congress and CPN-UML, RSS reports from Biratnagar.
Speaking at a press meet organised here in the district on Sunday, Minister Yadav also claimed that the national consensus government will be formed under the leadership of Prime Minister Dr. Baburam Bhattarai.
Minister Yadav further said that the government headed by PM Bhattarai should be turned to a consensus government as it has expedited works for peace process and constitution-drafting. "The tasks will reach to the logical conclusion within the upcoming six months."
Returning and recapturing of land have been going on owing to the internal disputes within the UCPN-Maoist, Minister Yadav said, adding the government has been working out to solve problems surfaced in retunring the seized properties.
Saying that there is a problem of irrigation in the eastern region due to erosion and inundation by the rivers, he assured that problems will be solved after its onsite inspection.
