MAOIST CENTRAL COMMITTEE MEET POSTPONED
Kathmandu, 3 Nov.: A Maoist central committee meeting convened to discuss swelling differences was postponed until 13 November citing time constraint after a faction led by First Vice-chairman Mohan baidya registered a complaint against major decisions.
The decisions were taken by a realigned establishment of
Chairman Prachanda and Prime Minister Baburan Bhattarai.
The meeting was postponed without discussing agenda items—differing opinions of the Baidya camp.
The broader central committee was empowered to take up and decide on the differences.
Differences figured only in the smaller standing committee and office bearers meet.
The Baidya faction met and decided Thursday to register a protest.
