MAOIST EDUCATION MINISTER SHARMA ASKS
PADLOCKS AT CAMPUSES BE REMOVED

Kathmandu, 28 Nov.: Minister for Education Dinanath Sharma has requested to break the padlocks at various campuses by different student organizations, RSS reports.
At a programme organised by the Department of Education, Ministry of Education, here Monday, Minister Sharma stressed on separating education sectors from politics.
Saying that the National Education Act will be amended with the change in state restructuring, constitution drafting and politics, he added that future of students should not be hampered by padlocking at educational institutions.
Minister Sharma also requested to the concerned bodies to observe patience as problems seen in education sector including making teachers and officials permanent and promotion should be solved through discussions.
Director General of the Department of Education Mahashram Sharma stressed on moving ahead various initiatives for improvement of the standard of education.
Chairman of the Nepal Teachers' Union, Dil Bahadur Joshi said that the government should solve all problems of all the teachers including officials, temporary officials and assistants of the pre-primary classes, immediately.
Different 15 organisations related to education had made commitment on 15-points including on participating in teaching activities.
