Kathmandu, 12 Nov.: Lawmakers mainly from opposition asked government Saturday in parliament to overturn a decision of the cabinet to ask President Dr. Ram Baran Yadav to amnesty a Maoist lawmaker convicted for murder for life with confiscation with cofscation of property.
But UCPN (Maoist) Okhaldungha District Secretary Ram Karki said the party ordered the lawmakers killing for personal but political reasons for spying against the party during the insurgency.
He made the claim at party headquarters in the capital Saturday justifying
the murder.
