Kathmandu, 21 Nov.: A Cessna Caravan of Makalu Airport with two crew members and nine passengers skidded off the airport, hit a rock and caught fire while landing at Talcha Airport at Mugu in the far-West hill district.
The airport services picturesque Rara Lake.
The accident occurred as the aircraft was landing after takeoff from Nepalgunj.
The captain and three injured passengers have been evacuated to the capital for treatment.
The fire was doused by locals and security personnel at the airport.
Captain Shah sustained eye injuries.

Nepal Army transport aircraft crashed during the monsoon after crashing against a hill in Dhorpatan; the ensuing fire damaged the aircraft completely.
Two army officers piloting the aircraft, an army woman doctor, a medical assistant, a sick soldier and a relative accompanying the soldier were killed.
Buddha Air Beechcraft also crashed during the monsoon while landing at the capital's TIA while landing.
Mostly Indian tourists were killed in the crash.
Air crashes are becoming regular over Nepali skies; human error is the cause of most crashes.

STATE RESTRUCTURING COMMISSION TO HAVE NINE MEMBERS
