PEDESTIAN KILLED IN CAPITAL

RULING PARTY ASSURES FLEXIBILITY FOR PEACE, CONSTITUTON

Kathmandu, 20 Nov.: Chairman of the Tarai Madhes Loktantrik Party (TMLP) Nepal, and Minister for Irrigation Mahendra Ray Yadav has said that the government is moving forward being flexible for the peace and constitution, RSS reports from Bardibas.

Speaking at a press conference organized on Sunday in Jaleswor by the TMLP- Nepal, Mahottari, Minister Ray Yadav explained that the government had withdrawn the 11th amendment of constitution proposal for broader consensus.


Claiming that some hopeful works were underway for peace and constitution of late, he requested all not to make big issue of petty things.

Stating that there are suspicions among parties associated with the United Democratic Madhesi Front whether or not there will be works in the interests of the Madhes from the latest agreement on constituting a state restructuring commission, he said the major parties should show liberalism to wipe out such suspicions.

The program was presided over by TMLP-Nepal Mahottari Chairman Narendra Yadav.

PEDESTRIAN KILLED AFTER MOTORCYCLE HIT IN CAPITAL

Kathmandu, 20 Nov.: A pedestrian died in a road accident at Bijuli Bazaar in Kathmandu, last night, RSS reports.

The deceased has been identified as Prakash Kharel, 25, of Gulmi district, currently living in Thapagaun, Kathmandu, according to Baneshwor Police Circle.

The accident took place when a motorcycle heading towards Maitighar from Bijuli Bazaar hit Kharel and afterwards a micro bus (Ba 3 Kha 5552) trampled upon Kharel.

Kharel succumbed to injuries while undergoing treatment at Norvic International Hospital.

The body of the deceased has been sent to Tribhuwan Teaching Hospital for autopsy, informed the Police Circle.

According to Head Constable of the Police Circle, Binaya Bhujel, police have arrested motorcyclist and microbus driver Pramod Bista and Kishor Koirala and impounded the vehicles.

Investigation into the case is underway, informed police.
