Kathmandu, 4 Nov.: Constituent Assembly (CA) Chairman Subash Nembang met Prime Minister Dr. Baburam Bhattarai to discuss on various issues on Friday, RSS reports..

On the occasion, the two held discussions on the Special Committee to be formed for state restructuring from the CA, form of governance and electoral system, according to the Personal Secretariat of Chairman Nembang.

A meeting of the Sub-committee formed to settle contentious issues appeared during constitution writing process held on Friday morning, had decided to form a Special Committee under CA for state restructuring.

The leaders duo also discussed on registering an amendment bill in the Legislative-Parliament for this as it was necessary to amend the constitution

500 SUB-HEALTH POSTS UPGADE

Kathmandu, 4 Nov.: The Ministry of Health and Population is all set to upgrade 500 sub-health posts to health post in the current fiscal year. For this, the ministry has concluded works of internal management by identifying the sub-health posts to be upgraded, RSS reports.

According to the information provided by the Public Health Administration, Monitoring and Evaluation Division of the Ministry, of the health posts thus upgraded, birthing centers will be run in 150 of them.

Budget for running two birthing centers in each district has already been sent. Rs 10,00,000 has been given to sub-health posts for upgrading and Rs.7.5 million for running additional birthing centers, the Division said.

The Ministry has allocated Rs.115 million for providing free heart treatment to senior citizens of over 75 years of age and children under 15.

The Division said 44 persons above 75 years of age and 251 children under 15 have been treated of heart diseases at the Martyr Gangalal Heart Hospital, and 10 people above 75 years, and 27 children under 15 got free treatment from the TU Teaching Hospital’s Manmohan Cardio Vascular Centre.

Similarly, the Ministry said free maternity services were provided with high priority to 43,800 until October. The ministry has allocated Rs. 900 million for the purpose in the current fiscal year.
