PUBLIC TRANSPORT FARE UP 9.9
PERCENT

Kathmandu, 2 Nov.: Government increased public transport fare
9.9 percent with effect from Thursday—the second increase in seven months.
The decision was taken Wednesday evening
with repeated increase of POL products.

Public transport fare was last increased March
2011.

The new far was fixed by Scientific Transport Fare Fixation Mechanism of the concerned ministry.

MAOIST CHAIRMAN TO DISCUSS
LUMBINI WITH BAN KI-MOON 5 NOV.

Kathmandu, 2 Nov.: Maoist Chairman Prachanda will discuss development of Lumbini, birthplace of Lord
Buddha, in New York
with UN Secretary General Ban Ki-Moon 5 November, Samir Dahal, son of Prachanda said.
Government earlier appointed the Maoist chief of a committee to collect international support for the development of Lumbini.
