FURTHER SWISS CONTRBUTION TO PEACE FUND

Kathmandu, 21 Nov.: Switzerland Monday contributed Swiss Franc 5 million equivalent to Rs 446 million for the Nepal Peace Trust Fund (NPTF) funded mainly by European states.
Finance Ministry Joint Secretary Lal Shanker Ghimire and signed the contribution with Ambassador Thomas Gass.
The fund managed by Nepal government funds the peace process, including monthly financial upkeep of 19,000 plus former Maoist PLA fighters.
