UPDATE PRACHANDA CIRCULARS IN UCPN (MAOIST)

FURTHER DETAILS OF PRACHANDA APPEAL

Kathmandu, 5 Nov.: Before flying for New York Saturday,
Maoist Chairman Prachanda sent circulars to all in-charge and secretaries of state committees to star process of seized assets.
In an appeal, he said the seven-point agreement between ruling
parties and opposition parties NC and UML must be
implemented.
The Maoist chief said he’ll ask UN Secretary-General Ban Ki-moon in a meeting in New York to issue an international appeal for help
to implement the seven-point agreement.
Prachanda sought international assistance even as European countries are fighting to save the euro amid heavy investments amid a financial crunch.
Five European countries have been financing the monthly
upkeep of 19,000 plus fighters through a peace fund managed by government.
Kathmandu based European diplomats have shown reluctance to financially support the resettlement of former Maoist fighters.
Prime Minister Baburam Bhattarai Saturday said in Gorkha
nobody can stop the completion of the peace process,
including party First Vice-chairman Mohan Baidya who
opposes the seven-point agreement.
