ANOTHER US,EU DIRECTIVE TO NEPAL
Kathmandu, 9 Dec.: EU mission ,Norway, Switzerland, USA, Canada, Australia and Japan Friday asked Nepal to agree soonest on a transitional justice mechanisms
agreed in a comprehensive peace agreement five years ago.
“International Human Rights Day on December 10 recalls that respect for human rights, fundamental freedoms and the rule of law and democracy constitute the prerequisites for peace, development and security in any society,” a statement said.
The states said a billl on the National Human Rights Commission should secure a sound legal base that guarantees its independence.
The statement comes one day after Nepal rejected western and UN lobbying to extend tenure of UNHCR.
The states have been championing rights when some of them, especially USA and UK, have been abusing rights of peoples to live in independence without foreign interference.
The UN is a silent spectator to the abuse of these rights by major western states to interfere in rights with widespread funding of UN activities by these countries to dominate the world.
