COMMUNIST SPLINTER GROUP DEMANDS PROBE INTO MAOIST FINANCIAL IRREGULARITIES

COMMUNIST SPLINTER GROUP DEMANDS PROBE INTO FINANCIAL IRREGULARITIES IN UCPN (MAOIST)
Kathmandu, 19 Dec. The CPN-Masal has demanded a high-level investigation into the 'irregularities' in the allowances released in the name of former Maoist combatants, RSS reports.
The Central Committee meeting of the party held recently concluded that the Maoist leadership has been receiving allowances for some 2,500 additional combatants who were not present during their regrouping.
In a press statement signed by General Secretary Mohan Bikram Singh, the party has expressed concern over such irregularities and urged the Maoist leadership to return the amount that they received through an illegal way from the State coffer.
The meeting has also drawn the government's attention towards many issues including holding the local level election and withdrawing the Bilateral Investment Promotion and Protection Agreement (BIPPA) signed with India.
Calling for the timely promulgation of a new constitution, and scrapping of the provision of federalism in the constitution, the meeting urged the government to avoid bulk entry of the Maoist fighters into the Nepal Army.
The party also accused the government of being more and more pro Indian. RSS

Thank you for the sensible critique. Me and my neighbor were just preparing to
do a little research about this. We got a grab a book
from our area library but I think I learned more from this post.
I'm very glad to see such wonderful info being shared freely out there.
