FORMER MAOIST STUDENT CHIEF ANNOUNCES HE’S QUITING PARTY; EXPRESSES DISSATSFACTION WITH PRACHANDA
Kathmandu, 19 Dec.: Former President of the All Nepal National Independent Students' Union- Revolutionary (ANNISU-R), Lekhnath Neupane has said that he was going to quit his party, the UCPN (Maoist). ANNISU-R is the sister wing of the UCPN (Maoist), RSS reports from Biratnagar.
Speaking at a press meet in Biratnagar on Monday, Mr Neupane accused the party leadership of giving space to foreign brokers.
"The UCPN (Maoist) is on the path of ruin due to foreign agents in the party and I am quitting the party soon due to this reason", he said.
He further accused the party chairman of handing over the party armies to others and failing to maintain the image of the party.
The ANNISU-R former president said, "Preparations are underway to form another People's Liberation Army by constituting another communist party since a communist party has to have its own fighters".
"It is the bitter reality that one is capable of purchasing helicopter while another is unable even to pay bus fare inside the party", he said underscoring the need of another communist party in the country.
