MAOISTS, MADESHBADI FRONT LEADERS REVIEW IMPLEMENTATION OF 4-POINT AGREEMENT

Kathmandu, 12 Dec.: Maoists leading a government and a front of six Madeshbadi parties held first round discussions at Monday morning amid dissatisfaction with in terai party with UCPN (Maoist).
Second round discussion is being later Monday at Baluwatar official residence of Prime Minister Baburam Bhattarai.
The coalition partners are reviewing the four-party agreement signed between Maoists and Madeshbadi parties leading government.
The agreement lists Madesh demands to be implemented by government, including mass recruitment of 10,000 Madeshi youth in Nepal Army.
Madesh front accuses Maoists of hesitating to implements agreements opposed by a Maoist dissident faction led by First Vice-chairman Mohan Baidya.

YOUNG GIRL KILLD IN RHINO ATTACK IN BARDIYA

Kathmandu, 12 Dec. Prem Kumari hadhari, 24, was killed when a rhoni mauled lher at the Mardiya National Park Mondaymorning.
The park was opened for three days from Monday to cut tall sabai grass used for domestic purposes.
The park is opened every year for a limited period in winter to cus grass.

JHAPA BUSINESSMEN STAGE SIT-IN
Kathmandu, 12 Dec.: Businessmen have been staging a sit-in at the tax barrier at Kakadbhitta, the entry-point between Nepal and India from 8:00 am on Monday morning in protest of the arrest of a businessman of Jhapa, RSS reports from Bhadrapur.

Police had arrested Ramniwas Agrawal of Dhulabari in possession of counterfeit Indian notes of Rs. 200,000 from Sunday during a search by the Armed Police while he was entering Kakadbhitta from India. Armed Police had handed him over to the Nepal Police.

Hundreds of businessmen have been sitting in the street chanting slogans closing down Kakadbhitta and Dhulabari Bazaars from early morning at the initiative of the Mechi Chamber of Commerce and Industry affecting movement of people.

Chamber Chairman Keshav Raj Pandey said he should be released along with the notes. The protest will continue unless he is released, he warned. When attempt was made to contact, SP of Jhapa, he could not be reached.
