NC WITHDRAWS PROTESTS UPDATE
Kathamandu, 7 Dec.: Fraternal organizations affiliated with main opposition NC Wednesday withdrew protests in the capital and other districts protesting a murderous assault Tuesday morning on Shiva Prasad Poudel, Chitwan district chief in his prison cell.
Protests were launched since Wednesday morning.
The withdrawal came after
government suspended Acting Chitwan CDO Nandikeshar Tripathi.
Sub-Inspector Shiva Raj Chhetri, Constable Ram Balak Prasad Yadav, security guards of the prison Bishnu Ram Sharki, Pashupati Khatiwada, and Felama Tamang were also suspended Wednesday by the district police.
Deputy Prime Inister BIjaya Kumar Gachedhar who is also home mnister, visited Chitwan Tuesday following the murderous assault Poudel.

JANAKPUR TENSE AFTER DEAH AND IINJURY OF STUDENTS
Kathmandu, 7 Dec.: Students came out in protests in Janakpur Wednesday protesting the death of a student after he was hit by a bus one day earlier.
Two others were injured.
The protests disrupted vehicular traffic on a national highway as the town remained tense.
There was heavy police deployment in and around the town.
Sarbesh Lal Karna and two others were injured Tuesday when a bus hit a motorcycle they were riding.

NEPAL HASN’T QUALIFIED FOR ACC TWENTY20 SEMIFINAL CORRECTION

Kathmandu, 7 Dec.; Nepal hasn’t yet qualified for the semifinal of ACCTwenty2- Championship with a victory over Saudi Arabia.
Wednesday.
Result of other league matches are still awaited.
The error is regretted.
