NILAMBAR ACHARYA CALLS A MEETING OF PARTY WHIPS TO DISCUSS HURDLE IN PROMULGTING CONSTITUTION

Kathmandu, 9 Dec.: Discussions are being held Friday morning between Chairman Nilambar Acharya and whips of political parties in the constituent assembly (CA) to discuss a fresh hurdle in implementing a calendar to promulgate a delayed constitution by a new deadline of 27 May 2012.
Maoist Chief Pranchada, who is a chairman of a sub-committee to resolve differences on themes to be incorporated was abruptly adjourned after announcing a detailed schedule to launch a constitution.
Prachanda cited inadequate homework to put off further sub-committee meetings surprising stakeholders.
The sub-committee was empowered by the main Acharya committee.

EPF EXTENDS RS.16.05B TOIMPLEMENT FOUR POWER PROJECTS
Kathmandu, 9 Dec.: The Employees´ Provident Fund (EPF) Thursday extended a Rs 16.05 billion loan to Chilime Hydropower Company Limited for implementation of four projects hydropower projects to produce 260 MW. electricity by 2015.
The company is a subsidiary of Nepal Electricity Authority (NEA)
Sanjen (42.5 MW), Upper Sanjen (14.5 MW) and Rasuwagadhi (102 MW) --will be developed in Rasuwa and Middle Bhotekoshi (100 MW) in Sindhupalchowk. Sanjen and Upper Sanjen by 2015.
Rs. 32 billion is required to develop the projects.
The shortfall will be raised from promoters and the general public.
Remaining Rs 16 billion will be raised from other promoters who have been alloated majority 51 percent stake and 49% of the required Rs. 32 billion will be raised from the public.
EPF manages savings of government employees; with a large capital base, it has been investing lately in domestic projects lessening dependence of foreign capital for launching development projects.

NEPAL FOOTBALL SQUAD TO GET APARTMENTS IF IT LIFTS SAFF CHAMPIONSHIP

Kathmandu, 9 Dec,: All Nepal Football Association (ANFA) announced Thursday as incentive apartments for 20 players and three coaches of the national team if it lifts the SAFF Championship in New Delhi.
Nepal plays Afghanistan in a semifinal Friday in New Delhi.
ANFA has already announced a Rs.10,000 monthly allowance for each player lifting the championship.
