PAC OF PARLIAMENT DIRECTS TOURISM TO TAKE ACTION AGAINST CORRUPT OFFICIALS

Kathmandu, 2 Dec.: Parliament’s public account committee (PAC) Friday directed the tourism ministry to initiate action against
those involved in irregularities within one week in state-carrier Nepal Airlines Corporation (NAC).
Tourism Minister Lokendra Bista and senior NAC officials were summoned by the committee.
PAC asked the ministry to take action those involved in the disappearance of Boeing wheel and other spares within one week.

UML STANDING COMMITTEE MEETS FOR SECOND DAY

Kathmandu, 2 Dec.: UML standing committee Friday continued its meet for the second consecutive day Friday following the conclusion of a central committee meet.
The standing committee is discussing reinforcing party organization, mass mobilization and preparations for a conference of the national council in the capital early in early 2012.
