PM BHATTARAI CALLS SECURITY MEET FOLLOWING FRESH MURDER AND ABDUCTION IN CAPITAL
Kathmandu, 24 Dec.: Prime Minister Baburam Bhatarai has
convened a sudden meeting of Home Minister Bijaya Kumar Gachedhar, who is also deputy prime minister, along with chiefs of security agencies following fresh spate of murder and abduction.
Twelve murders have taken in the Valley in the last three months.
Five angry groups are presenting a memorandum to the government
chief Saturday protesting government’s inability to tackle the
law and order situation and seeking security for gold ad silver traders.
Another jeweler was shot dead in Kapan overnight and his aide is
being treated for serious gunshot wounds
Angry locals Saturday came out in protests at Kapan following the attack on a jewelry shop that killed the owner and injured his aide.
Another man was killed 8 December when he was shot at a Pulchown jewelry shot; an Indian suspect has arrested and five suspects are
absconding.
A trader laws also abducted from the capital overnight.

SEVEN INJURED AS BUS OVERTURNS IN BARDIYA
Kathmandu, 24 Dec.: Seven passengers were injured when a bus
overturned Saturday morning in Bardiya seriously injuring four
travelers.
The bus was heading for Kohalpur from Butwal.
