Kathmandu, 12 Dec.:: Chairman of the UCPN-Maoist, Pushpa Kamal Dahal has said the unity among all political parties was essential to protect the achievements gained through various struggles made by the people so far, RSS reports from Kirtipur..

At a programme organised by Free Students’ Union, TU on Monday, Chairman Dahal said that the need of the hour is to build New Nepal by successfully completing the peace and constitution writing.

In order to end all kinds of maladies and corruption in the country, the transition was also in need of a successful ending, he said.

On the occasion, Vice-Chancellor of the Tribhuvan University, Professor Dr Hira Bahadur Maharjan said the students have a vital role to educational development in the University.

He expected positive response of the student unions to the educational calendar the University made anew this year.

Union Chairman Himal Sharma said the state should take special initiatives to end the educated employment in the country.

NEPAL TRUST ANNOUNCES REWARD FOR REVALATIONS OF ASSETS OF LATE KONG, QUEEN AND FAMILY

Kathmandu 12 Dec.:: The Nepal Trust has announced rewards for those giving information related to the movable and immovable property owned by late King Birendra and his family inside and outside the country, RSS reports.

Releasing a documentary produced by the Trust here on Monday, Under-secretary of the Trust, Birendra Bahadur Baniya said the Trust has so far found records of 6,244 ropani of land owned by the late royal family members of which ownership of 1,179 ropani has already been transferred to the trust.

Likewise, 44,116 pound sterling and around 120 million rupees has been deposited at the accounts of the Trust.

The Nepal Trust was founded on November 22, 2007 as per Article 159 of the Interim Constitution of Nepal, 2063 to find out and preserve by nationalising the property owned by the late king and his family members.
(NOTE’ Then and succeeding governments nationalized assets of King Birendra, Queen Aishwarya, Crown Prince Dipendra and Prince Nirajan. Governments are still hounding the late male royals. Contrary to popular and unfounded belief and perception, the entire family of the then king and queen were not killed in the Narayanhti royal palace massacre 1 June 2001. There’s a ‘aputali’provision in Nepali law which clearly says a daughter, married or unmarried, inherits assets of parents who don’t have male heirs. Daughter of the then king and queen Shruti survived the massacre and she has two daughters. Government loot of private property illegally will have to be rectified and corrected. )
