THREE ARRESTED FOR INVESTIGATION IN RS. 12.2 MILLION INDIAN CURRENCY RACKET

Kathmandu, 21 Dec.: One Nepali and two foreigners were
arrested Wednesday from Kalanki suspected with possession of Rs.122 million in fake Indian currency notes.
Those arrested are Nepali national Dik Bahadur Nepali, Indian national Nasib Alam and Dennis Fbres of Philippines.
The trio have been detained at Kalimati police post for investigation.

Kathmandu, 21 Dec.: Six parties objected Wednesday to
government’s decision to withdraw murder charge against NC
Tarn Dal Chief Shiva Prasad Paudel under street pressure of
main opposition party.
The parties, including UML, presented a memorandum to Prime Minister Baburam Bhattarai Wednesday at Singha Durbar.
“A criminal case shouldn’t be politicized,” said UML Chairman Jhalanath Khanal. “The prime minister should take the issue seriously.”
