TWO DOZEN LAWMAKERS INSPECT SAPTA KOSHI DAM SITE

Kathmandu, 19 Dec.:Two dozen lawmakers Monday inspected the dam site of Saqpta Koshi river in east Nepal and interacted with locals.
India is planning to constrict a 279 meter high dam at the site to control the river that flows into Bihar.
Locals and parties have been protesting the construction saying it will inundate vast tracks of land in Nepal.
The team is lead of led by UML Chief Whip Bhimanjun Acharya.

LOAD-SHEDDING INCREASED TO 10 HOURS FROM TUESDAY

Kathmand, 19 Dec.:Daily load-shedding will be increased to 10 hours from Tuesday from 6 hourss, Nepal Electricity Authority said.
The Authority reports increased demand as winter peaks in the dry and cold winter season.
