UCPN (MAOIST) LEADING GOVT. CONDEMNS NAXAL LEADER KILLING IN INDIA

Kathmandu, 6 Dec.: The UCPN-Maoist has expressed shock at the news of the murder of the popular leader of Indian revolutionary people’s movement, Comrade Kisanji.

Stating that Comrade Mallojula Koteswara Rao aka ‘Kisanji’ was arrested and killed by the government during his initiation for peace talks with the West Bengal government, the party has strongly condemned the murder.

In a press release issued by Krishna Bahadur Mahara, Maoist chief for foreign department, the party said that the death of Comrade Kisanji was a big loss to the oppressed people in India.

It has also appealed to the Indian Government to solve the ongoing process of the revolutionary people’s way through respectful peace talks and negotiation.

Comrade Kisanji, politburo member and top leader of CPI-Maoist, was murdered on 24 November, by Indian armed forces in Burisol forest area of west Midnapur district in west Bengal.
(Note: The official Maoist official reaction was delayed. Rebel Mohan Baidya faction earlier condemned what was called a murder. Maoists are leading the government with support of lsix Madshbadi parties.)
