Thursday opposed integration of more than 6,500 former Maoist PLA fighters in state security agencies, including
Nepal Army (NA), Spokesman Arjun Narsingh NC said.
More than 6,500 former fighters recorded their preference in a survey conducted by the secretariat of special committee for integration, resettlement and supervision.
KC said there’s an agreement to integrate only 6,500 fighters and the party will stick to the quota.
The party spokesman KC said the party won’t
agree to a new Maoist demand following a meeting Thursday between Prime Minister Baburam Bhattarai, who is party
vice-chairman, and party President Sushil
Koirala.

UML YOUTH LEADER MAHESH BASNET
DETAINED, RELEASED
Kathmandu, 1 Dec 1: UML Youth Association Nepal (YAN) and Maoist YCL activists clashed in the capital Thursday after the arrest of UML youth leader Mahesh Basnet and his supporters.
UML demanded immediate release of Basnet and his colleagues.
They were arrested following violence while presenting a memorandum to a body promoting employment for alleged misappropriation of funds.
YCL disrupted transport service and vandalized vehicles,
Vandalized some vehicles.
Basnet was released briefly being detained at
Police Club.

TWO BOYS MISSING IN NUWAKOT
Kathmandu, 1 Dec.: Two boys of Pidalubari of Bidur Municipality-8 have gone missing for the past three days, RSS reports from Nuwakot.
The missing boys are Suman Dulal, 11, and Deepak Nepali, 11, of Pidalubari, both fourth graders at Surya Jyoti Academy and Parijat Primary School respectively.
The two boys had gone missing from the house on Monday morning, informed founder member of Surya Jyoti Academy, Rajya Laxmi Pandey.
Family members and schools of the boys have requested to all for searching them. Search for the boys is underway, said police.

FIVE KILLED IN DIFFERENT ACCIDENTS
Kathmandu, 1 Dec.: Five persons died in separate accidents in different districts, RSS reports from Bhaktapur.
Two persons died and another was injured in a road accident at Jagati of Bhaktapur district along the Araniko Highway, on Wednesday night.
The deceased have been identified as Maila Lama, 23, of Mangkha VDC and Uddhav Shrestha, 22, of Hagam VDC of Sindhupalchowk district.
The accident took place when a van (Ba 2 Kha 5060) heading towards Sindhupalchowk from Kathmandu hit a motorcycle (Ba 24 Pa 4436).
Out of the three persons riding on the motorcycle, two died and one was injured in the accident.
Injured pillion rider Rupin Lama of Mangkha-3 of Sindhupalchowk is undergoing treatment at B&B Hospital, informed Superintendent of Police at the Metropolitan Police Range, Bhaktapur.
Similarly, a person died after fire broke out at his own house in Khung-8 of Pyuthan district, last night.
The deceased has been identified as Dor Bahadur BK, aged around 60-years. BK was trapped and injured in the fire while taking out goods from the house.
Locals said injured BK breathed his last while they were trying to rescue him.
Loss of the property has not been ascertained yet. However, police personnel have been deployed to the incident site, said a local Rita Giri.
In another case, a woman died after a tree crushed her at Takam of Myagdi district, this morning.
Jasma Gurung, 62, of Jhanga of Takam-3 died on the spot after the tree crushed her while cutting the tree for timber, informed a local teacher Bheshnath Gautam.
Meanwhile, a pedestrian died on the spot after a truck hit him near Kolpukhola, border area of Nuwakot and Dhading district, this morning.
The deceased is Ramsharan Nepal, 40, of Duipipal VDC of Nuwakot district.
Search for the truck driver and truck is underway, according to the District Police Office, Nuwakot.
