20 INJURED IN BIRGUNJ PRISON CLASH

Kathmandu, 25 Feb. More than prisoners were injured Friday evening clashes in Birgunj prison.
Clashes broke out old and new prisoners transferred there fro other jails.
Police fired in the air and lobbed teargas shells to quell rioting Friday evening; prisoners also protested handling by jail administrators.
Prisoners presented a set of six demands

Kathmandu, 25 Feb.: Minimum temperature recorded in the Saturday morning was 7.7 degrees Celsius.
Mercury will shoot up to 28 degrees Celsius in the afternoon.

JANAK RAJYALAXMI DEBI SHAH DEAD

Kathmandu, 25 Feb.: Janak Rajyalaxmi Debi Shah, daughter of Juddha Shumshere JB Rana, died 14 Februaru. the family said/
She was 96.
She’s survived by son and daughter.

NEPAL, INDIA RAILWAY TALKS IN MARCH

Kathmandu, 25 Feb. Officials of Nepal and India meet for two days 1 March for railway talks in the capital, Narendra Prasad Upadhaya, Joint Secretary at Ministry and Supplies said.
Talks will center around movement of rail cargo between Nepal and Indian sea ports.
Talks were last held in New Delhi 2009.

Kathmandu, 25 Feb.: Gold was traded Friday at Rs. 47.492 per
tola gaining Rs. 1,397 per tola.
Trading opened at Rs.46, 295 per tola beginning in the week.

Silver price rose Rs.38 per tola’ it was traded at Rs. 960 per tola
