20 INJURED IN FIRE AT REMOTE GORKHA VILLAGE

PREMIER, PRESIDENT ATTEND ARMY DAY FUNCTION AT TUNDIKHEL

President Dr Ram Baran Yadav attended Monday’s traditional special function of Nepal Army (NA) marking Army Day coinciding with
Mahashivaratri at the Army Pavilion, Tundikhel.
Besides the premier and president, Speaker Subash Nemwang and other senior functionaries and officials were present.

20 INJURED IN GORKHA FIRE
Kathmandu, 20 Feb.: Twenty persons were injured in when a house caught fire Sunday night at remote village Uhiya VDC-1 I Gorkha, Annapurna Post reports from Gorkha.
Seven are seriously injured in the fire at Suban Singh Gurung’s house
The injured are undergoing treatment at a health center at Machakhor.
The people had gathered to mourn the death of Gurung’s mother.

UPDATE NO AGREEMENT AT PRACHANDA SUB-COMMITTEE MEET

Kathmandu, 20 Feb.: There was no agreement at a Prachanda sub-committee meet Monday to discuss differences on themes to be included in a constitution.
But leaders of parties agreed to resolve differences by Friday.
Main opposition NC sought time for discussions in the party.
Prime Minister Baburam Bhattarai attended Monday’s meet.

UML BODY MEET

Kathmandu, 20 Feb.: UML’s All Nepal Peasants’ Federation (ANPF) national
council meeting is being held in Bhairahawa 22 February.
The meet will last three days
Chairman Jhalanath Khanal will inaugurate meeting expected to e attended by 625 delegates.
