FINANCE MINISTER PUN HOLDS CONSULTATIONS WITH
TAMRAT
Kathmandu, 14 Feb.: Visiting Director of Asia- Pacific- Region for Department of Political Affairs of the United Nations, Samuel Tamrat called on Minister for Finance Barshaman Pun at the Finance Ministry on Tuesday, RSS reports.

On the occasion, Tamrat expressed concern regarding the ongoing peace process and constitution writing in Nepal, said Press Advisor of the Minister, Manoj Gharti Magar.

Lauding the discharge of the combatants opting for voluntary retirement, Tamrat stated that the previous week was very important for peace process of Nepal.

Tamrat added that challenges still remain for Nepal as the main works for army integration is yet to begin though some works were initiated.

During the meeting, Tamrat also enquired about the beginning of the army integration process.

In response, Minister Pun said that constitution writing process is moving ahead and the issues relating to form of governance, state restructuring and electoral system would be concluded at the earliest based on political consensus.
