PRACHANDA SUB-COMMITTEE MEET TO RESOLVE DIFFERENCES ON THEMES FOR ARTICLES IN CONSTITUTION
Kathmandu, 16 Feb.: A Prachanda sub-committee on the resolution of
differences between major arties on themes to be incorporated in a proposed constitution by 28 May meets Thursday.
State restructuring will be among subjects discussed at the sub-committee headed by the Maoist chief.
.After missing two deadlines to resolve differences to enable the main constitution drafting committee headed by Nilambar Acharya to gin drafting a basic law, the Prachanda committee has until 7 March to settle differences.
Agreement by 7 March
Even President Dr. Ram Baran Yadav Wednesday reminded the leaders of the big Three at a joint meeting Wednesday time was running out to complete a constitution draft.

HOME MINISTER SUMMONED BY PARLIAMENTARY COMMITTEE
Kathmandu, 16 Feb.: Parliament’s state affairs committee has summoned Deputy Prime Minister and Home Minister Bjaya Kumar Gachedhar Thursday for grilling on a controversial government decision to resume distribution of suspended
naturalized citizenship in 20 terai districts bordering India.
Even CDOs on defiance have refused to execute a home ministry directive to distribute such certificates saying the government order was illegal.
A writ has been filed at supreme court to declare the government decision illegal.
The apex court has asked government Tuesday to furnish a written reply in 35 days.
